s32k144 CAN example

Hi,

I'm trying to get CAN to work with the evaluation board for S32K144.

I have downloaded Design studio and imported examples CAN_MASTER and CAN_SLAVE, (the use S32_SDK_EAR_0.8.1)

They build and flash ok.

But I can't see any CAN communication. 

I have measured TP20 for sbc_can_rx and TP21 for sbc_can_tx.

TP20 is always low, and TP21 is always high. 

What am I missing here?

Think the examples should work out of the box.

Hi,

do you have EVB board powered by external supply into J16? The SBC chip is powered by this external 12V source.

I tested those demos on 2 EVB and it is working well. There is a same behavior without external power supply.

Hi,

   I have downloaded the S32DS for ARM v2.0.  But I could not find the CAN_MASTER and CAN_SLAVE example in the installed SDK's. I could not find any example for CAN master-slave communication in my folders. 

Can you tell me where am I going wrong in this?

Any pointers would be helpful.

P.S. I wanted to test a simple CAN communication between two S32K144 boards.
