What is RFP version of S32 Design Studio?

Hello

I am looking into which version of S32 Design Studio to use.

I found out S32DS 3.6.0 and S32DS 3.6.5 RFP.

RFP seems like it does stand for Release for Production Release.

- So, with/without postfix - RFP, two both are the same and valid? What is the difference between them?

- I also found 'Featured' tag in 3.6.4. Could anyone explain this?

Thank you.

Hi @StrongOrange

RFP stands for “Released for Production.”

Regarding the selection of the S32DS version, we always recommend using the latest release of the IDE, as it typically includes bug fixes from previous versions and introduces new features. For more details about the changes between versions, please refer to the release notes for each IDE version, which include dedicated sections on these topics.

Additionally, S32DS versions from 3.6.1 to 3.6.5 can either be installed as an update to an existing S32DS 3.6.x installation or as a new IDE instance. For further details, please refer to the S32 Design Studio Installation Guide.
