Hi,

I am using S32 Design Studio for Arm V2.2. Do you know which revision of SAE J2602 it is compatible with? Can I update any component to generate a LIN driver to be compliant with the latest revision of SAE J2602 (202110)?

Thanks a lot.

Hi @abpaz

Can you tell us the MCU that you are using? And also, which software (SDK or RTD)?

Hi @VaneB,

Thanks for your fast answer.

I am using S32k118 uC and the SDK: S32SDK_S32K1xx_RTM_4.0.1.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @abpaz

J2602 protocol is LIN 2.0 based. It contains LIN 2.0's modules to support Signal management, network management, scheduler and J2602 status management. The goal of J2602 is to improve the interoperability and interchangeability of LIN devices within a network by resolving those LIN2.0 requirements that are ambiguous, conflicting, or optional. Moreover, J2602 provides additional requirements that are not present in LIN2.0. For example: fault tolerant, operation, network topology, etc. Different to LIN2.1 protocol, J2602 does not support sporadic and event trigger frames in communication.

Hi @VaneB,

Yes, but I need to know which revision of SAE J2602 is implemented in the SDK that I mentioned before and if and how I could generate a LIN driver compliant with the latest revision of this protocol.

B.R.

Thank you!

Hi @abpaz

The LIN projects included in the SDK are just an emulation of LIN over UART. If you want to work directly with LIN, look at Automotive SW - S32K1 - LIN Stacks.
