S32k344 jtag

Hello,

I am working with the S32K344 Mini-EVB and trying to connect a Segger J-Link debugger using the JTAG interface.

I am using the J9 connector for JTAG, but the debugger is not able to connect to the target.

I would like to know:

Is J9 the correct connector for JTAG on this board?

Do I need to change any jumper settings (for example, OpenSDA or JTAG/SWD selection)?

Should I use JTAG or SWD interface in the Segger configuration?

Currently, I am getting a connection failure in J-Link tools.

Any guidance or step-by-step instructions would be very helpful.

The FRDM-A-S32K344 - Default configuration of UM12406: FRDM-A-S32K344 development board mentioned:

Interface	FRDM-A-S32K344	Reference / Signal	Default configuration	Description / Comment
On-board Debug Open SDA	●	J11	Enabled	The USB-C connector is configured by default as the primary interface for debugging.
	●	JP11	1 - 2	JP11 is routed as default enabling the OpenSDA voltage.
	●	PTA15 – LPUART6_RX	Enabled	For PC serial communication.
		PTA16 – LPUART6_ TX	Enabled
JTAG	●	J9	Disabled	The JTAG interface of the S32K344 microcontroller is accessible via a 20-pin Cortex Debug + ETM connector. To enable this interface, jumper JP11 (OpenSDA voltage) must be removed.

Please remove JP11 and try again.
