S32K388CVB-Q289 External debugger use

We are using S32K388CVB-Q289 evaluation board. It has onboard debugger. Can we use external debugger for this board. In that case how do we bypass internal debugger?

The supported debuggers are included in each release notes for the S32DS. In the release for S32K3xx Development Package 3.5.8 you can find the supported matrix for debuggers and compilers:
