S32K322 IPCF Clarification on RTD and IPCF Version Compatibility

Hi NXP,

I am currently working on IPCF communication using a single project with a single ELF for dual-core communication.
Below is the environment I am working with:

  1. S32 Design Studio for S32 Platform: Version 3.5 (Update 14)

  2. RTD S32K3: SW32K3_S32M27x_RTD_4.4_4.0.0_P24

  3. IPCF: Version 4.0.0_D2306

For understanding While importing the example project from the update site and update the code, I encountered build errors because the required RTD packages were not included in the example project.

Kindly clarify the following:

  1. As per the recommendation, the IPCF_4.0.0_D2306 release suggests using SW32K3_RTD_4.4_R21-11_3.0.0 is this need to follow?
  2. If I plan to use a higher RTD version (e.g., P24), which version of IPCF should be used to ensure compatibility for S32k322?
  3. NXP-provided examples use dual projects with dual ELF files. Could you please provide a bare-metal IPCF example using a single project with a single ELF file?

Regards,

Vivek Arivazhagan

Hello @VivekArivazhagan,

Regarding Q3.

I was informed last week that our IPCF team would be reaching out to you.

Could you please check your inbox?

Hi Vivek,

You have to generate the RTD code in the .mex configurator first.

The project can be compiled once you have the RTD folder in the project.

1. Yes, we cannot guarantee the functionality with RTDs that has not been tested.

2. unfortunately, there is no IPCF for RTD 4.0.0, there is IPCF for 5.0.0 and 6.0.0

3. let me check on that, I will update the thread as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Daniel
