Hello, I want to ask the ADC of S32K3 is 12-bit, but the data register is 15-bit, and the number of bits that can be selected by the software is also the highest 14-bit. Is it over-sampled? For example, a 12-bit ADC evenly samples 64 times, accumulates and divides by 8 to get a 15-bit result. And would like to ask what is the function of the special capacitor, thank you.

Hi,

result is always 15 bits wide, even though the selected resolution is smaller.
check colleague's feedback too

Hi,

check below thread for sample data alignment explanation

Thank you for your answer, but it seems that my expression is not clear enough, which makes this answer not the answer I expected. What I want to ask is, is the original data collected by ADC here 15 digits? After the conversion, the ADC data of 14, 12, 10 and 8 bits are available, but I see that the SAR ADC module is 12 bits in the data manual. I want to know how to extract 15-bit data from this 12-bit module. Thank you.
