I successfully connected twice to same target board with same JLink, but most of times, it's failed. 

Please help me out.

Hello Matthew,

Is it your own custom board? 

If so, could you check the SWD connections?

32-bit Automotive General Purpose MCUs | NXP 

Have you tried the probe with other S32K1xx boards?

If this is an EVB board, can you tried with OpenSDA?

It turns out there's a problem on connection between JLink and target board.
