#S32K148

Dear Team,

I am preparing a power tree for my board. My board contains S32K148 also.

I want to know the worst case current drawn from my 5V supply.

ultra12_0-1686050893516.png

Let us take 125Mhz and 719mA . May I know what you mean by IDD/MHz (μA/MHz) .Does it mean for every 1Mhz the IC will consume 719mA?(I know I am wrong,if it was like that then the current will be huge!!!!)

In general how do we calculate the worst case current consumption of a microcontroller.

#S32K148

Regards

Hari

Hi,

Thank you so much for your interest in our products and for using our community.

I think the table is being misinterpreted.

The data of 125 that you remark is temperature, not frequency.

On the other hand, note 4 says:

"4. Values mentioned for S32K14x devices are measured at RUN@80 MHz with peripherals disabled and values mentioned for S32K11x devices are measured at RUN@48 MHz with peripherals disabled."

So, based on the RUN@80 MHz (mA) - Peripherals disabled column, the calculation 57.5mA/80MHz = 718.75uA/MHz, rounded matches the 719uA/MHz described in the table.

Hope it helps you.

Have a nice day!

Hi,

Thank you very much.

"So, based on the RUN@80 MHz (mA) - Peripherals disabled column, the calculation 57.5mA/80MHz = 718.75uA/MHz, rounded matches the 719uA/MHz described in the table." so at 80Mhz peripherals disabled the microcontroller is taking 57.mA.Correct me if I am wrong

May I know how to calculate the total current consumption of a microcontroller. Please take S32K148 as an example.

Regards

HA
