Lauterbach Debugger Configuration for S32K358

Hello everyone,

I am planning to use the Lauterbach TRACE32 debugger to validate and debug FreeRTOS SMP functionality on the S32K358 MCU. Since Lauterbach offers multiple hardware (e.g., PowerDebug, PowerTrace) and software configurations, I would like to confirm the following:

1. Which Lauterbach hardware series is recommended for multicore/SMP debugging on S32K358?
   (e.g., PowerDebug PRO, PowerTrace, etc.)

2. What software license or modules do I need to ensure proper support for:

   • Cortex-M7 debugging

   • FreeRTOS awareness

   • Multicore trace or task scheduling visualization (if available)

3. Is there a specific Lauterbach TRACE32 debugger combinations that NXP recommends?

Any guidance or reference documentation would be greatly appreciated .
