FreeRTOS Version Compatibility Issues with the S32K324 Board

Hello. We're using the S32K324 board, and I have some questions about it. First of all, I downloaded FreeRTOS, but the S32K324 board is not listed there. I'm attaching a picture for reference.

Second, there are FreeRTOS versions 5.0.0 and 3.0.0 available. Are there any differences between the two?

Lastly, when I used version 3.0.0, everything worked well. However, after downloading version 5.0.0, I’m encountering errors, and I’m not sure why. I’m attaching a picture for reference.

SW examples are not created for all possible derivatives.

Each SW package contains Release Notes file like this:

It's very important to follow installation procedure.

Version 3.0.0:

Version 5.0.0:

lukaszadrapa_2-1730973032543.png

So, the main difference is different RTD. It's necessary to use the right version, otherwise you will see issues like you mentioned.

May I ask if there are any differences between FreeRTOS version 3.0.0 and 5.0.0?

Also, I would like to use FreeRTOS on the S32K324 model, but it doesn’t appear as shown in the first image. Is there a compatible model available?

See the release notes files for details. There's different kernel version.

Your screenshot shows available examples. As I already said, NXP does not create examples for all derivatives. But you can still create new project for your S32K324 and add the FreeRTOS component.
