FLEXCAN module on RTD for S32K311

Hello all,

I'm migrating a project from S32K312 to S32K311. It seems like everything is similar, but when I try to configure the CAN interface with FLEXCAN, I cannot find this module in the pin configuration tool. Also mention that in the peripheral view, it does appear.

I checked the S32KXXX datasheet and this microcontroller contains 3 FLEXCAN channels.

My question is: Does anyone know if it is not implemented yet, but it will be in the future?

SDK: PlatformSDK_S32K3_S32K311_M7

Version: 3.0.0

Device: S32K311

Thanks in advance.

Hi @simonjuanr

The SW team just abbreviated the name in ConfigTools. So, it is the same.

Hi @simonjuanr

Could you share an image of the driver you can add with the peripherals tool?

Also, are you using low-level drivers (IP) or high-level drivers (MCAL)?

Hi @VaneB ,

I can select FLEXCAN driver from low-level drivers, as you can see:

The problem is, when configuring the proper pins, I cannot attach those pins to FLEXCAN module, as I did for S32K312.

S32K311 pin view:

As you can see, modules in 311 are called "CAN", not "FLEXCAN" as before. I don't know if it's just a typo, but I want to be sure what I'm doing.

Thanks in advance,

Simón
