Enter S32K312 Standby Mode

Hi

I used S32K312 (IDE 3.6.2 / RTD S32K3_S32M27x Real-Time Drivers ASR R21-11 Version 6.0.0)

To test if the MCU enters Standby Mode well, I initialized only the minimum peripheral. (Power/Clock)

I expected to be pending in the EXECUTE_WAIT function, but it actually worked similarly to reset.

Also, I blocked interrupts to prevent them from leaving Standby Mode due to unexpected interrupts.

When I checked the register(MC_RGM), F_POR was set. This is also a question for me.

Can you help me with this issue?

Hi @Hoon,

The MCU does enter an EXECUTE_WAIT function, however the K3 will always perform a reset sequence after waking up:

You can use the S32K312 example from this post: S32K3 Low Power Management AN and demos RTD 4.0.0 & 5.0.0 - NXP Community. The example routine turns on the green LED and waits for SW5 to be pressed before turning off the LED and entering standby.

A wake-up interrupt is generated by pressing SW6, and the main code runs again in a loop. There is also jumper J10 which can be disconnected and used to measure the current consumption for low power:

Best regards,
Julián
