S32G3 PMIC I2C Mapping

We are running into issues with a custom board based on the S32G3.

We are booting from an SD card and are able to verify that the SD card is loaded by toggling a GPIO pin via the DCD. The S32G3, however, resets itself after some time. We traced this to the S32G3 not petting the watchdog on the VR5510. Comparing the I2C lines on our board with the RDB3 eval board shows that there is no activity on ours while the RDB3 performs several operations with the VR5510. We noticed that the PMIC is connected to I2C4 on the RDB3, while on our board it is connected to I2C1.

Referencing the S32G3 Hardware Design guide (page 7) it is suggested that any I2C Instance can be used to control the PMIC. I have not been able to find documentation on how to switch the I2C Instance in the technical reference manual. How would we switch the PMIC interface from I2C4 to I2C1?

Can you let us know which BSP are you working with?

Overall, the changes should be made under the DTB of ATF, in which under the i2c4 you should see the VR5510 being referenced. On your specific case, you should move it to the i2c1 node:
