Hello @jonas304,
I have receive information from the internal team, basically it is not possible to overlay with the HyperFlash, here are the details:
"
According to the RTU diagram, the OMU only takes effect for modules connected to RTUF_NIC_D. So it does not support configuring an overlay with the Hyper Flash.
We also tested remapping Hyper Flash to SRAM through OMU on our side and it did not take effect.

Hello @jonas304,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Please check the OMU app note AN14214: Calibration with S32Z2/E2 OMU.
If you have already checked this document or you still experience problems after reviwing it, please share more details regarding the configuration you are trying yo achieve, also please share the RTD version you are using.
Thanks
Hello @alejandro_e ,
Thanks for the quick reply. The OMU App note and the corresponding demo helped me.
Overlay now works from RTU0 CRAM to RTU0 CRAM. However, I would like to overlay from the external flash (serial Hyperflash) to the RTU0 CRAM. The QSPI0 is connected to this onboard serial flash. Reading from the Flash via the AHB works fine.
As soon as a flash area is used for the logical or physical address in the OVERLAY_REGION, the overlay no longer works.
Question: Is an overlay even possible with the serial Hyperflash?
Setup:
S32Z270-DC
S32ZE Real Time Drivers AUTOSAR R21-11 Version 2.0.1
Thanks
Hello @jonas304,
I am glad the document I shared was useful. About using the serial hyper flash of the S32Z270-DC, my knowledge of the OMU module is very limited. However, I found an example internally that might help you. I will contact you privately and let you know how to access it.
Thanks
