Hello cummulity,
In my company the IT is blocking the use of Oracle Java for security reasons. They have provided us all with an alternative build of Java that is installed on all our computers.
I now want to install S32DS on my windows 11 machine, but want to use the JRE that is already available on the computer.
I have found that the S32DS installer always tries to run the JRE that is included in the installer package and is then blocked by our firewall and I can't install it.
Since the installer package for Linux does not include a JRE, is there such an option for windows as well?
Thanks

I have found sort-of a solution together with our IT-department. My issue exactly is, that only Oracle-Java is blocked. The newer versions of S32DS don't use Oracle Java (like 3.4, which we are using) anymore but OpenJDK. A solution would be to simply update to the newest version.
In our particular case that is not an easy option since our project relies on features that 3.4 has and 3.5up does not support anymore.
Hi,
that is the very problem I'm facing. I can't run the installer, because it uses the build-in java vm.
Since the installer for Linux does not, I asked myself, if something similar would be available for windows.
