FreeRTOS "SW32K3_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_3_1_0_DS_updatesite_D2304" Extension Installation Error S32DS

Hello

I’m currently working on a project using S32 Design Studio and trying to install the FreeRTOS extension. The specific file I’m attempting to install is:

Link: Design : Product Information : Automotive SW - S32K3 - FreeRTOS
File: SW32K3_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_3_1_0_DS_updatesite_D2304.zip

However, I’m facing some issues with the installation. Has anyone successfully installed this extension? If so, could you please share some guidance or troubleshooting steps?

I’ve attached some images to help illustrate the issue I’m encountering.

Here are the issues I’ve encountered:

1. Folder Location:
   Do I need to save the .zip file in a specific folder?
   Even when I select both "FreeRTOS S32K3" and "FreeRTOS S32K3 3.1.0", only "FreeRTOS S32K3 3.1.0" is being installed.
   

2. Error Message:
   During installation, I am receiving the following message:
   "The installation cannot be completed as requested."
   
   

Error Details:

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

SW32K3_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_3_1_0_D2304_ReleaseNotes.txt mentions:
For S32 Design Studio Tool users:
- Make sure S32 Design Studio v3.5, S32 Design Studio for S32 Platform v.3.5 with S32K3 Service Pack 1(com.nxp.s32ds.sp1.s32k3xx.update_3.5.0.20230307163114.zip), S32M27x_SP2_CD(SW32M2xx_S32DS_3.5.0_D2302.zip) and S32K3 RTD 3.0.0 package are installed before this FreeRTOS package.

Please refer to HOWTO: offline install S32K3 RTD 3.0.0 in S32DS v3.5 first, and then install SW32K3_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_3_1_0_DS_updatesite_D2304.zip.

Dear Robin Shen,

Thank you for your response and for sharing the solution. However, the solution you provided appears to be for S32 Design Studio V3.5. I am currently working with the latest version, S32 Design Studio V3.6, and the issues I mentioned are occurring in this version. Nonetheless, I will proceed with installing V3.5 and follow the steps you have outlined to see if that resolves the issue.

SW32K3_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_3_1_0_D2304_ReleaseNotes.txt mentioned:
This release supports the following S32DS version:
+ S32 Design Studio IDE v3.5
So I suggest you install it in S32DS v3.5.
