hello:

i'm using the mc9s12e128 which has an irda modulator on the serial ports. everything works as advertized, however i need to write a stack for everything from the physical layer to the ircomm layer including irlap and irlmp. has anyone ventured down this path with this chip?

hi:

thanks for your reply!

not free is an understatment! 1500 euros translated into canadian pesos (loonies) is a big chunk. i only need the ircomm portion and was trying to avoid paying for all the other stack features (as well as code size) that i don't require. i guess it's time to roll up the sleeves and start coding.

thanks again!!

Why don't you drop them a line, and ask for a quote for just the bit you want, and plead poverty, if you don't ask you won't get.

You can try to port(from AVR GCC to CodeWarior) PicoIrda stack from Blaulogic
http://blaulogic.com/pico_irda.shtml
