communication with the target failed

I use MC9S12XS128.I have a P&E Multilink. The program can be downloaded only a few times, then the communication with the target failed. The P&E Multilink and the chip has no problem. what's the problem? is there problems with the circuit?

what board do you use? is it Freescale or you custom made?

1) What software are you using?

2) Do you secure the chip? It is possible the chip is secured and you can unsecure it using P&E's unsecure_12 utility:
http://www.pemicro.com/downloads/download_file.cfm?download_id=16

3) Are both blue and yellow LED on the multilink lit? If the blue is not lit, then the computer recognizes the multilink. The yellow indicates it detects power on your target board.

I am using code warrior v5.1.

I did not secure the chip, but sometimes the program just can not be downloaded to the chip.

The two LED are both lit.

I wonder if the circuit around the chip has some problems. It’s bothering me.
