Using USB Multilink BDM with DEVKIT-S12ZVC

I am currently a user of 9S12 devices and have recently decided to have a look at the 9S12Z. I have bought the DEVKIT-S12ZVC board, and am trying to use my PEMicro USB Multilink, but it won't connect to the processor. I am trying to flash my own bootloader, and need to ensure that I can do it via BDM. Any ideas?

You should be able to flash a bootloader via BDM. Please close all other debug sessions.

So after much playing around, I finally got in touch with P&E Micro. It turns out that you need to use different software with their USB Multilink in order to be able to program the 9S12Z devices. I was originally using PROG12Z, but after buying a copy of PROGS12ZZ everything is now fine.
