Sorry,
I have never written code for the HCS12 in C. I am sure there are sample projects available that have SCI done in C if not for that specific chip then for anohter HCS12 that could be easily modified to work for that chip. ASM is not too difficult for the HCS12 honestly. Before picking up ASM for the HCS12 I only had done small projects and routines in x86 ASM.

I have found a Stationery Serial commnunication software for MC9S12DP256 in freescale.com. What do I have to do to use this software for my MC9S12NE64?

I'm not familiar with the MC9s12NE64 though all you probably have to change the register locations, Baud Rate and interrupt vector locations accordingly.

I am also working on serial communication with the 9S21NE64 at the moment. Could you please post a link to that Stationery Serial commnunication software on the freescale website?
