S12Xe TIM and ECT Output Compare Pins

When I look at the datasheet it has the external pin descriptions for TIM and ECT as the same pins ?

TIM

     22.2.8   IOC0 — Input Capture and Output Compare Channel 0 Pin

                  This pin serves as input capture or output compare for channel 0.

ECT

     14.2.8    IOC0 — Input Capture and Output Compare Channel 0

                   This pin serves as input capture or output compare for channel 0.

I see there that pin 4  has 5th function called TIMIOC0. Is the datasheet wrong and should be like this...

Hi,

yes, it looks like typo. It would be better to use term TIMIOC however the chapter 22.2.8 says nothing about pin assignment it only describes pin function. The best approach is to look at Table 1-9. Pin-Out Summary to get pin-out.
