Need Advise on desiding a micorcontroller

Hi all,

I am new to this embedded technology but i know what i need very speicfically.

I need to Controlle the following things

1) 50 Digital I/0

2) 5 analog  temperature sensor, pressure monitor - Data recorded very mint for and should be stored at least last 5 hours of data.

3) USB and Serial communication - prefred USB

4) 2 - interrupts

5) single line LED marque display

Can any one advise what kind of processor and memory i can go with.

Should program in C or C++. My software user interface will be in vb.net mostly.

If you are completely new to embedded technology, I can suggest you do not select a microcontroller but go for a full fledged tested Data Acquisition Card, which you can interface with PC. Since your  spec. are ready this will be easier.
