Hello, I don't know if it's the right place, but we are currently working on an old automotive from the 90's and we are looking for the ignition driver TY93006P datasheet or at least pinout.

Could you help us to bring this racing car back on the track ? thank you

Hi Julien,

the most probably the oem is bosch. the module you photo seems to be  digifant (designed by vw group in cooperation with bosch, as per wikipedia) or some predecessor, but you might know this better than me.

Hello Iggi,

Yes you are right it's a DIGIFANT 1.0 ECU, designed by VW with Bosch, you seems to know it also ;-)

Hi Iggi,

Thank you for your investigation and your time, driver came from a VW / Bosch ECU used on a Golf G60 rally factory car

We are trying to get it back to life, ECU is derived from the road car but has a modified ignition circuit, you can see the TY93006P on the picture below.

Can you investigate for which OEM the chip was made ? if it's for Bosch I will ask my colleague of the IC division to see if there is something left ...

Thank you

Hello Iggi,

Thank you for your feedback, I agree that this should be hard for a 40+ years component, there is no archive service ?

the TY93006FN seems to be identical with different packaging, maybe an easier lead ?

the TY93006P IC appears in the following product discontinuance list done by "ANALOG IC DIVISION"

Thank you

Hi Julien

I did some more investigation for this part.

A colleague found the product guide from 1995 and this part is not listed there

It looks like it is a custom made for an automotive OEM, and that might be the reason why there is no datasheet. These are usually kept confidential in case of a custom made parts.

We searched an old database and found similar product, by part number the closest one -TY93024D. This part has been introduced in 1992. but also no lead to the datasheet...sorry.

just for curiosity, what car has that driver in it?

Hm,

i doubt this old motorola part has datasheet in electronic form.

And if there is a real data sheet, who should we contact... Sorry, but this will be hard to dig out.
