I am using MC9S12XDT512 SLK, with 4MHz crystal oscillator mounted on board. And I am using BUS Clock and Oscillator Clock for Enhaced Capture Timer for measuring pulse width. what will be my Bus clock and Oscillator clock frequency? How should I Calculate? I am not using PLL.

Thanks,

Mohg.

With PLL not involved bus clock is oscilator clock / 2. It's 2MHz in your case. Almost all peripherals (including ECT) are clocked from bus clock. Flash and EEPROM modules use oscilator clock. MSCAN module has a control bit, that allows you to choose to clock MSCAN from oscilator clock or from bus clock.
