Hi, may i know if Freemaster can be used to debug motorola's 68hc11f1 processor? 

because when i search for 68hc11f1, under the software and tools, i found FREEMASTER, and can download from there. But when i try to connect, i cant.nxp.png

Hi

That page is full of bugs. HC11 have no BDM, so Multilinks and Cyclones have nothing to do with it.

Freemaster I think appeared first much more later than HC11 became not recommended for new design.

If you need debugger, then look at www.noicedebugger.com. For C compiler try visiting www.imagecraft.com, though it's not easy to find SW tools for old HC11 any more, here's direct link http://imagecraft.com/legacy/devtools_FreescaleOther.html . There were more expensive compilers from Cosmic Software, Metrowerks, IAR. Unless they've changed the price, I double they could be feasible to start HC11 now. There was GCC port for HC11, perhaps try looking for it first.
