Hi,

we are developing a bareboard software for T1024 processor. to develope drivers for DPAA and QUICC engine, can we use the microcodes provided by U-Boot as is? or do we need to change them as per our requirement? if we need to change them, how can we generate the new micro code for them? where i can get more information about these micro code?

The microcodes have to be used "as is" - they are not intended to be modified by end-customers, so additional information of the microcodes internals is not provided.

Hi,

Thanks for reply, want to know what is exact purpose of this microcode. will it initialize the complete hardware?  or do user has to perform some more initialization in drivers after uploading the microcode?

Microcodes are required for hardware - FMan and QE.

Software drivers are also required and normally bundled with the operation system.

Linux SDK with required drivers is provided by NXP free of charge.
