linux 4.10 support for LS1046A

Linux 4.10 was released over the weekend.  Among other changes in the mainline kernel is support for the LS1046A-RDB platform.    However this support seems oddly different from that available in NXP SDK, and I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

The ls1046a-rdb device trees in the mainline kernel have no mention of the fman device. There is also no fman microcode checked in to the linux tree (although that could possibly be included in the the u-boot sources).  Does that mean mean there is no ethernet support under Linux build from the mainline kernel sources?

To be clear, I have a completely working ls1046a-rdb kernel and rootfs (including fman u-code) build from the NXP SDK V2.0.  I don't need help bringing up the kernel.  However I would like to know the actual support for the LS1046A under mainline linux kernel moving forward.

Hello,

Just to add some new information. I have a working 4.12 kernel on my LS1046A RDB. If you want more information, go to this thread https://community.nxp.com/thread/455516 . I explain what I have done in the part. I have just two problems: Uboot that overwrite MAC address the wrong way, and all my RGMII ports are only receiving data, no sending.

Hope this will help you.

Hello,

Like you I was looking for a ls1046a kernel 4.10 version. I see that since your question there was no response.

I found something that can help. http://git.freescale.com/git/cgit.cgi/ppc/upstream/linux.git/log/?h=ldup  is on a 4.14 version. Take a look at it, maybe you will have answers.
