Hi,

I found a reference schematics of T1042. While connecting UART's pins to the DB9 connector (through driver IC), it uses a series RLC circuit. Can somebody explain its reason?

Please find the attached image for your information. Thank you!

Have a great day,

The series RLC circuit is a low-pass filter. It cuts radio-frequency noise and decreases electromagnetic interference (EMI).
