Hi,
Can someone comment on whether we can use upstream linux kernel (linux-4.14.y) on a P2020 processor based board. Do we need the special drivers/bsp changes provided by freescale sdk. Last official release for QorIQ processors seems to be on "fsl-sdk-v2.0-1701" which is linux-4.1 based.
Will I be missing anything if I am not using the NXP provided linux kernel for the P2020 processor based board?
Thanks.
Hi all,
we use for our P2020 device (based on TQMP2020)
qoriq-components/linux - Linux Tree for QorIQ support
NXP LSDK 20.04-V4.19 build via BuildRoot (Buildroot - Making Embedded Linux Easy )
the latest LT-Kernel
NXP LSDK 20.04-V5.4 run always, but not complete tested yet.
Greetings from island Rügen

Consider using our Yocto-based SDK. It offers fresher kernels, including 4.14. and does support your processor:

Have a great day,
