LX2160A PRBS Under Linux

Hi

We have used the CodeWarrior TAP for testing 10G-KR links however this doesn't allow for operation under Linux and ideally we would like to generate PRBS11 and PRBS31 codes under Linux and use these to exercise our partner device for bit error rate testing.

Would you please advise if there is a method for generating PRBS codes under Linux for a 10G-KR SERDES.

The only PRBS generation method supported by NXP is using CodeWarrior QCVS SerDes Tool.

Is there a method to maintain the link under Linux whilst using the Codewarrior QCVS SerDes tool to modify the SerDes parameters? i.e. equalization settings.

The CodeWarrior QCVS SerDes tool is intended to be used for standalone testing - i.e. there is no method to use it when a Linux link is maintaining.
