I have configured the RCW to use GPIO2 instead of SPI and SDHC. What else do I need to change to to get GPIO working? Any u-boot setup required?

Thanks for the reply. It is working as advertised. I was just using the wrong gpio numbers from the command line when I tested it. I should have looked at the /sys/class/gpio/gpiochipxxx more carefully.
