In our case, BCM5461s is used as RGMII PHY, but this IP ping does not work . We can use MDIO access PHY and see auto-negotiation  done. Should we have to build firmware and do NXP has patch for it ?

Some PHYs do require downloadable microcode, it also may be necessary
to patch the OS or bootloader you are working with. Consult at the PHY
manufacturer for required software/updates. For QorIQ processors

equipped with DPAA,  a RAM-based FMAN microcode is required. You don't
have to build it, ready binaries for processors are available:
