I am working on project in which we are using custom board having imx8mp processor with 2GB RAM and 16 GB eMMC. I have interfaced 2 MIPI CSI camera (RGB and IR), 5" LCD touch screen, ethernet, IR LEDs, White LED, RGB LEDs, DMIC, Speaker, etc.
The board gets randomly rebooted while power on. The issue is random. Sometimes it gets booted successfully and sometimes it reboot continuously.
I am not able to figure out the issue why its get randomly rebooted. However, I have observed several points.
We have checked the current consumption and its not crossing 500mA with all peripherals. We are using 1A DC Adapter to power up the board.
Attaching logs for your reference.
Hi @vprajapati!
Thank you for contacting NXP Support!
Do you perform the correct DDR training?
Try to use a better Power Supply I suggest at least 3A (Like our EVK boards).
Best Regards!
Chavira
Hi @Chavira
Yes, DDR training is performed and using correct ddr4_timing.c file.
I also used the DC Programmable Power supply with 2A, however the issue still persist. The current consumption is not even crossing that 500mA.
Hi @vprajapati!
Can you share the shcematic?
The peripherals are connected directly to PMIC?
If is not possible to upload the schematic you can open a private support ticket in our webpage.
Hi @Chavira,
The PMIC supply is only used for some pullups and other peripherals. Camera and LCD is not getting direct supply from PMIC. It is also used to control some LDOs.
HI @vprajapati!
The principal problem should be your power delivery from the peripherals that are you using.
I recommend to check every power rail of your board and do double check to your design.
