Timer Unit bean and ticks

Hi-

I noticed that in CW 10.3, the TimerUnit bean doesn't support ticks anymore. Is there something I am missing? For using external clocks, not having ticks makes the bean almost impossible to use if the clock input is something like a motor or fan counter. Should I be using a different bean?

Thanks,

Josh E

Hi,

I suppose you mean the settings of "offset" or "Period" values of the channel.

The timer ticks unit are supported only if the counter frequency is not set to "Auto select".

You have to specify the Counter frequency to some valid value (if you don't know, type there current value from third column) and then the timer-ticks unit appear in the list of possible units and it can be used.

Thanks Petr. That looks to have done the trick for what I'm doing!
