ISELED Config Setup on Linux

Hi,

did ever somebody try to configure ISELED on a Linux platform?

Here is what I did so far:

openSUSE Leap 15 64bit

Installed Oracle Java

Installed NXP S32DS

Installed PEMicro open SDA USB Drivers

Installed ISELED Driver 3.0.0

Now the SDK is running nicely and even recognizing my board (S32K144M512) at a USB port.

However, eclipse doesn't want to install the 'S32K1xx RTM SDK 3.0.0' packages and 'ProcessorExpert source binary provider feature' neither from online sources nor offline. Error message:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=SDKProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,com.pemicro.debug.gdbjtag.pne,4.1.3.201905161939
No repository found containing: org.eclipse.update.feature,com.pemicro.debug.gdbjtag.pne.feature,4.1.3.201905161939

Naturally, I can't generate processor expert code and compilation is not possible. The example projects are also missing.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix these issues?

Sincerely

J

Hello Johannes,

I am really sorry for late reply. Unfortunately, any S32K microcontroller SDK is not supported in S32DS Linux version, so from my point of view, ISELED SDK is not possible to use in S32DS for Linux.

Are you able to switch into Windows version and try in Windows operating system?

I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

thanks for your reply.

At the moment, I'm on a triple boot system Debian Stretch/Windows 10/Windows 7, so working on Windows is possible with minor inconveniences (like rebooting, workspace sync).

It just would be nice if I had known this earlier so I wouldn't have spend a day trying to get this working ... maybe you could include a platform support info section into the docs?

Sincerely,

Johannes

Hello Johannes,

In S32DS release notes, there is following notice:  The S32K SDK is available for Windows host only. And because  ISELED SDK is dependent on S32K SDK, it cannot work in Linux too.

Please see the document in the attachment page 2.

Please let me know, if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Martin
