Windows 11 Ringo 1.2 TEA2226Dev No connection possible

Hello, I have a TEA2226AT Dev Kit with the TEA20xx_SOCKET_DB1586 TEA2226 programming board and the I2C Interface RDK01DB1563.

The TEA2226 ic is correctly installed into the so16 socket. The 6 pin cable ist correctly connected between the socket board an the I2C Interface. The switch on the side is set to "6" and the jumper "JMP1" is set to TEA2017. Somehow I can't get it working... the ic is not recognized and I can't do anything or read the component. Do you have an solution or an idea to solve this?

Also I installed this vcp driver for windows 11 (https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/) CDM2123620 (Driver Version - 2.12.36.20) is installed. I also check the device manager which creates a Virtual com port and the usb serial converter if I connect the i2C interface trough usb to the laptop.

Hello Sergej,

I use the same driver and over here it is working.

When I cut the power line between the I2C interface and the chip, then I see the same picture:

image001 (3).png

So the first thing to check is if there is 24V between pin 13 (SUPIC) and pin 4 (GND) of the TEA2226.

Hello Thomas, thanks for the fast response and your help. I checked the voltage between this two pins and I can measure 23.8V, a bit less, but I thinks thats good enough.

What are your next suggestions?

Hello Sergej

You wrote before:

"The TEA2226 ic is correctly installed into the so16 socket. The 6 pin cable is correctly connected between the socket board and the I2C Interface."

=> Did you also connect the 3-wire cable, because that carries the I2C signals for the development samples. See attached schematic.

If everything would work well, then the I2C signals would look like this:

When the IC does not acknowledge (or when there is no IC in the socket) then you should see this:
