Yes, the A0 variant is "empty" and its OTP needs to be first programmed with a configuration (e.g. voltage levels, watchdog parameters, fault thresholds etc.) tailored to your system's power/safety requirements. This can be done using our NXP GUI tool and the FS26 Safety SBC Programming Socket Board (KITFS26SKTEVM).
Note that other non-A0 variants have their OTP already programmed and cannot be altered. The configuration parameters can be found in the corresponding OTP reports which are available in the Comparison Table of the FS26 website.

Keep in mind that your own OTP emulation and programming of the A0 variant is allowed during engineering development. Only NXP or a recommended third party are allowed to program the device for production purposes.
