Hello Everyone,

This PMIC device MC34VR500V8ES is used in LS1046ARDB. is that used as per default settings or programmed using I2C. Please Reply.

Hello Urmila,

please refer to the Table 1. in the MC34VR500 datasheet. The MC34VR500V8ES version is preprogrammed to be used with the LS1046A Processor. If you buy the MC34VR500V8ES version, the regulators (Buck regulators, LDOs) are set to fit the LS1046A Processor requirements.

I have one more query. Hope you clarify.

In fig 5 : Starting sequence of MC34VR500 data sheet, it was shown that SW3 and SW4  regulators output the voltages 1.8V and 1V (default values respectively) at the same time. is this applicable to MC34VR500V8ES also? Please confirm.

Hello Urmila,

yes, that is correct. The SW3 and SW4 voltage levels for the MC34VR500V8ES version are 1.8V and 1.0V respectively.

Yeah Jozef. will there be any delay between SW3 and Sw4 outputs? I am talking sequencing.

Hello Urmila,

please refer to the Figure 5. in the datasheet. The SW3 and SW4 will be turned on at the same time.
