P3041 debug spread spectrum

Hello,

In the P3041 Reference Manual, its mentioned that spread spectrum clocking is not supported when using the Debug function in the same SerDes bank. If I feed with spread spectrum clock the SD_REF_CLK pins of a bank which is configured to, among other functions, as Debug, will those other functions stop to work correctly? Or will only the Debug function stop to work correctly? I'm assuming that I'll not use the debug function when the device is in its normal use, so in this situation I might use a spread spectrum clock source.

You should not use a spread spectrum clock source only if you actually use debug function. While you do not use the debug function you can use a spread spectrum clock source even if the bank configuration includes debug.
