Help for a beginner with a TWR-P1025

Hi everybody,

I'm a student and I recived from my professor a TWR-P1025

My assignment is to start using this module, and do some easy "hello world" exercise (led on/led of,....).

I've installed the Special Edition CW for Microcontrollers 10.5, but I'm not sure anymore

that is the one that I need. When I start a new MCU project I can not chose the device that I'm using,

the QorIQ family does not appear (during the insallation i've crossed all the family).
So i've been looking for something and I've found the "Processor Expert Software: QorIQ Configuration Suite".

It actually thise one that i need ? If yes, who I have to ask to? 'cause it's free, but they want me to give a name for the download.

Hi,

I couldn't work for a while, but now i've downloaded the PA version.

I dont have a USBTAP, can I still download from CW on my twr through

the mini USB UART ?

Hi,

Unfortunately, 1025-twr didn't come with a jtag probe integrated on board, so is necessary to have a USBTAP for download/debug.

And wont the TWR-IND-IO be able to replace the USBTAP?

I take a look on TWR-IND-IO and this module doesn't provide embedded usbtap, so will cannot replace the USBTAP.

Please use CW for PA (Power Architecture) 10.3 from here [1]

Actually that one was the first one that I've installed, but then I moved

to the Special Edition because of the trial.

Not a problem, ill go back on PA version.

I hope in 30 days my school have asked for an academic license.
