Hi Josef;

Tried exactly as describe, wirte data to register 0x82  (LVDS interface control 2)  

Read 0x82 (Default should be 0x03 ) 0x00 Write 0x2b Read 0x82 0x00, nothing changed

Hi Moshe,

thank you for the printscreens. If the firmware versions are F6 and F4, you either have the PTN3460BS version, or you have incorrect Firmware versions loaded in the PTN3460IBS. Please check the top marking of your chip. To find out which PTN3460 version you have. Or please take a picture of the top marking and please share the picture with visible lines. 

Latest Firmware version for the PTN3460IBS is F2. For the PTN3460BS, it is F6. Please refer to the release notes attached. 

Please make sure you follow the correct programming guide (although the 0x82 is the same register in both).

Hi,

First, thank you for the document describing the differences between the firmware versions. Due to a misunderstanding, I flashed version F6 thinking it was more advanced. The component in use is PTN3460IBS. I then re-flashed version F2, but unfortunately, the result was the same — writing to the address 0x82 Data 0x23 read back 0x00

Hi Moshe,

I have found an older case, where another customer asked similar question. Please see the answer. 

• DPCD M Tool is designed for PTN3355BS, not PTN3460I.
• PTN3460I does not expose its configuration registers via DPCD.
• You must use I2C or AUX channel commands for PTN3460I.

For the I2C, please make sure it is set as slave with DEV_CFG open or connected to GND, that you will use correct I2C address.
