I would like to use NTB0102 for level conversion (3.3V⇔5.0V) for the SDI-12 interface. The speed is 1200bps. Since we want the voltage to be 0V at startup, we will attach a pull-down resistor to the A side. Please use twisted pair wires with a cable length of approximately 2 to 3 meters. NTB0102 is equipped with a 2-bit level conversion circuit, but only 1 bit is used. Connect unused pins to 0V.
1. Can I use NTB0102?
2. Is there a 1-bit version of the NTB010x series?
3. Please tell me how to calculate the pull-down resistance value.

Hi Satake,

Yes, we do have a 1-bit version of the NTB010x series - NTB0101 which you can use for level conversion between 3.3V and 5.0V for your SDI-12 interface running at 1200bps.

I would recommend to choose a pull-down resistor of approximately 2.5k ohms.
