I have read AN12714 and would like to try this out on a more up to date version of the kernel (5.10 or later).

The patch files referenced in the imx_sec_apps/meta-imx-fde-demo layer do not apply to later kernels.

Are the patches even required now or can the same behaviour be achieved using a standard linux-imx kernel?

My ultimate goal is to encrypt a file/partition using a key derived using a CMK to ensure confidentiality and resilience against outside influence.

Thanks,

Richard
