how to wire cb pins on mc3377xC if no balancing function is used

Hi, on a board i don't need the balancing functions of the mc3377xC, i wonder if i can simply leave a 10k resistor between the xx_CB and xx:yy_C pins since the fets are not used? do i still need the zeners to "prevent hot plug damage" as shown in most of the reference designs?

You don't need all of the cells' balancing function,right?

correct. i'm using it as a measurement only system. no balancing is needed at all
