SJA1105T - RGMII at 1.8V

Dear all, we would like to interface SJA1105T to the host processor at 1.8V (host processor can't do anything but 1.8V). The SJA1105 datasheet says RGMII operates at 2.5V only, however the core voltage and 1.8V possibility at other pins may suggest that 2.5V only might not be a hard requirement, but may be stated to maintain a standard compatibility or so.

May i kindly ask you, if SJA1105T RGMII (one port) would work at 1.8V?

Hi Jose, sad news but thanks for confirming that. I wish the P/Q/R/S versions were on reasonable leadtime

Hi,

Unfortunately no, SJA1105T RGMII would only work for 2.5V. For RGMII voltage of 1.8V you would need to use SJA1105P/Q/R/S version of the device: https://www.nxp.com/products/interfaces/ethernet-/automotive-ethernet-switches/sja1105pel-qel-rel-se...
