Hi @jingfang ,

I asked my colleague for a detailed explanation of the marking number for this KW38 device, and I think it will be helpful about this issue.

Note: This explanation is not common to marking numbers for all chips.

Here is the description of the marking number:

Line A MW38A512V4

Line B s[DBSN][ASID]

Line C S[YYWW]

Line D 0P06B

Line A 10 Digits [The short form of part number in LineA due to space limitation]

Line B 7 Digits [Lower case 's' represents fab code (GF7) in LineB;

Line B to be marked with no spaces and left aligned]

Line C 7 Digits [Capital 'S' in LineC represents assembly code ATKH]

Line D 7 Digits [Maskset]

Hi jingfang,

The Part Number of the chip and the private print are not identical. The Part Number found in Chapter 9 of DataSheet "Part identification" is accurate and can be used to order and find the corresponding chip. But the chip above the private print code, there will be a little difference.

Is private printing correct?Beacuse they want to check the private prints of the incoming materials to see if they're authentic.

Hi jingfang,

As we have confirmed internally, the private printing is correct.
Wish you have a nice day.

Hi @jingfang ,

The part number of the chip is not the same as the private print. As you can see, the part number rule can be found in DS. However, private printing is subject to the marking role.

If you need to get a marking number, please resubmit a ticket and our colleagues will find it for you. But the specific marking role, I'm not sure if it can be distributed.
