Inquiry regarding eIQ compatibility: Using Kinara Ara-2 (DNPU) with i.MX 8M Mini

Dear NXP,

I have been reviewing NXP collateral regarding the integration of the Kinara Ara-2 (DNPU) with the i.MX 8M Plus (which features an integrated NPU).

I would like to clarify if the Kinara Ara-2 can be used as the external AI accelerator for the i.MX 8M Mini (which lacks an integrated NPU) using the eIQ software environment integrated with the Kinara SDK.

Does the current eIQ release support this specific hardware combination (i.MX 8MM + external Ara-2) for seamless model deployment?

Hi @andy_kim 

eIQ release does not support this specific hardware combination (i.MX 8MM + external Ara-2) for seamless model deployment.

And we do not validation  Kinara Ara-2 with i.MX8MM for  external AI accelerator.
