How to efficiently drive and optimize an OLED monitor?

Hi NXP Community,

I’m currently working on a compact embedded system that includes a small OLED monitor as the primary display, and I wanted to ask for guidance from anyone who has done similar work using NXP hardware.

What are the most reliable ways to drive an OLED monitor with minimal flicker and optimal refresh rates using common NXP microcontrollers? I’m especially curious about best practices when using SPI or I²C interfaces. Are there known limitations or suggested approaches when it comes to display timing, voltage levels, or startup sequences?

Also, are there any preferred libraries or sample code available through NXP that simplify the initialization and drawing routines for OLED screens? I’ve looked through some documentation, but real-world implementation tips would be much appreciated.

Lastly, when it comes to power efficiency, how do OLED monitors perform in low-power modes, and what techniques can be used to manage brightness or standby behavior without losing data integrity?

Thanks in advance for any insights. I’ve found this forum to be extremely helpful, and I’m looking forward to learning from the experiences of others who’ve tackled similar display challenges.

Appreciate your support and all the resources here at the NXP Community!
