Hello,

 

One of applications of CLRC663 plus is Payment terminals.

I would like to know how CLRC663 initiate RF field when tapping NFC Card on it.

The payment terminals applied CLRC663 plus have to be always on for RF field?

Could you please check the Datasheet available in the next link:

Here you will find the required information regarding Card Detection interruption and its features. This board offers a flexible configuration for Low-Power Card detection. The LPCD_IRQ in register IRQ0 indicates a card detected.

The CLR663 also has a Wake-up timer that wakes the system in case of detecting a card, also if there isn't a card detected it can the system can change to stand by state.
I recommend you to check Sections 8.9.3 clearer explanation and 9.14 for Configuration Registers
